Unable to download update from xbox live

Alright I have tried clearing my cache, reconfiguring the Network to factory standards, and just simply re-installing it over and over. But error code C000-0185 keeps returning. Says I can't process the update. Nor can I test my god damn connection because
when it tries connecting to live it just asks me to install the update. again. only to return to that error. I have no wireless headsets or anything of the sort, and internet seems fine otherwise. Oh and I tried using a flash drive, even downloaded the update
from two separate computers and still nothing. Suggestions?

 

I have tried all the suggestions also and still get nothing but 416b-0000-0080-0300-8007-0070 and of course it will not let me connect to xbox live when running the test both wired and wireless.

 

Unable to format Memory, unable to process download. Warranty expired and Microsoft offered to help......for 80 bucks.

Everyone there is a possible solution. please follow this link below. You will need a USB stick. Unfortunately if this does not work, then your console is defective and will need repair (Will be cheaper getting a new one, online or gamestop)

The reason this should work is because no internet connetion is required (through the xbox) The full update is already downloaded and ready to install when you have it on a USB. Please click the link below and find out how to do so.

Has anyone thought that maybe this is microsofts way of making you buy a new xbox 1. Seems very strange that so many people at the same time is having the same problem. Or maybe the update they have supplied is wrong at their end. This needs to be investigated
not just forgotten about!

 

Same Error Code as above C000-0185, tried all of the above, including flash drive.

I am having the same issue with my nephews account. I have been trying to do a system update for an Xbox 360 E 4GB console. I have received several errors they are the following: 416B-0000-0080-0300-8007-0070, 416B-0000-0080-00300-8007-04SD,416B-0000-0080-0300-8007-2751
and the most current 416B-4174-1900-267F-C000-0185 (which was a clean CD error which was that step was taken and still wouldn't update the console.) I have burned the file to CD and received the following code C000-0185 and USB states the file is too large.
I know I am not having internet issues because I have two other older consoles which both are connected to live right now. The USB drive is a 16GB Sandisk (non xbox 360 brand.)

 

hello i have tried everything but have failed to update my x box through x box live

and also i am unable to connect to x box live i was connected once but now i dont know what has happend any suggestions

 

Same problem to me... Tried to update several times with live and with usb but nothing. Tried to clean the cache but still impossible to connect to live.

I am having a similar issue with error code 4171-0000-3000-0951-8007-0070. Tried wireless, wired and usb and even different internet networks and still get this error. Even after reformatting the xbox I am still getting the same error code.

 

Also not able to get this update on my 360, Error code 416B-0000-0080-0300-8007-045D

Ok I finally got my issue resolved. Give this a try. You have to delete the last update before the new update will work.

On your console, go to Settings hub, and then select System.

Select Storage.

On your controller, press the following button sequence:

- Press the left bumper.

- Press the right bumper.

- Press the X button.

- Press the left bumper.

- Press the right bumper.

- Press the X button.

You will probably be prompted. Select yes. The xbox should reset. Then try installing the update. This worked for me.
