Unable to download update from xbox live

There is an update for xbox live but it's not allowing the download, anyone have an answer to this?

Cant connect with the beta ?

yeah i got it from an unofficial source. So lets say im still unable to connect to live when its officially released to public.

Will i be able to download that official update ?

but then again i can always download it from the xbox support page...

www.xbox.com/.../livetou has all of the info on the terms of service. It is stated in there that you cannot get your xbox serviced by anyone but an unauthorized repair service and so with
that having happened you are actually unable to be connected to xbox live. Because you are unable to connect to xbox live updates are not available to be downloaded from the live network. If you are unable to download said updates many games will be unavailable
to play even offline but others that do not need the updates (ie. older games) will still be able to be played.

 

Do you get an error code, related to this failing process?

I have done a reset of network settings' I have also turned off my modem and re-started it neither of these worked. After a while the update screen just says cannot download update. Status code 4174 - 0000 - 3080 - 0504 - 8007 - 2EE2

 

I too am having a problem with the xbox live update. It actually throws my console into a hardware failure!! I get three red rings. If I wait a min and restart it console is fine and I can play all my games like normal just not on live. Not sure what
is going on.

 

Same i cant download it either, i even tried putting the update on a flash drive and transferring it over, which also fails. Im at a loss of what to do.

 

Error code: 8007 - 2EE2 is often related to intermittent interference over wireless connectivity.

If you're using wireless with your console and if it's possible, try connect your console with an Ethernet cable instead, to achieve a more stable communication.

If a wired solution is not an option, try use a different wireless channel, for you wireless router to broadcast.

If your wireless router communicate over the 2.4 Ghz band, I suggest using the non-overlapping channels (1, 6, 11).

If you're using a wireless headset with a digital RF transmitter, turn this device off, as long as you're trying to update your console's system.

 

Well im using a cable and it wont work for me.

 

I don't think it's an issue on wireless as I have other items (which I turned off) running perfectly well. I have also disconnected the headphones. It seems other people are having a very similar problem.

 

As an Ambassador I also recognized a lot of this Issues!

 

If you have the option to wire your console, please go ahead and try this solution.

If you haven't already, clear your Xbox system cache. Repeat this process, 3 times in a row. Afterwards, restart you console and run a diagnostic test to Live (Test Xbox LIVE Connection).

 

@DMND GGenoside - Please, go ahead and start a new thread and detailing out your situation. Include any error code you are getting and any troubleshooting steps you have tried so far.

 

The Best fix is when you try to start overall. lets clean and restart everything:

Go to Xbox Network Settings and select Configure Network. Select the Additional settings tab and Restore network settings to factory defaults.

Most of the time there is some error stuck in cache and until you not clean it the problem still remain. so lets clear it.

Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and select System Settings.

Select Storage or Memory.

Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller.

Select Clear System Cache.

Repeat this process, 3 times in row.

Post back and let us know how that goes.
