Unable to download the Amazon app

This week I tidied up my hard drive and deleted the Lovefilm app (because Amazon took them over and have their own). I didn't realise though that this deleted the Amazon app and now it won't let me reinstall it. It gets to 79% then says 'can't download',
no error message and is a corrupt file. I've tried with every search return for Amazon. I've reset my machine, spoke to Xbox and Amazon but I'm unable to get it back. I just signed up to Prime video and really want to use it! Can anyone help me?

Amazon Prime (Instant Video) app not available for download?

I'm unable to locate/download the Amazon Prime (or Instant Video) app, has it been removed? Has anyone else noticed this?

Unable to download Amazon Instant Video App

I keep getting the error message 80004005 when trying to download the Amazon App for the first time. I'm not sure if this is a new thing or if others are having problems with this. I have spent hours chatting with XBOX reps and on the phone with my ISP and
no luck. All the steps have failed so far.

As of today the app has been updated, look on your hard drive and delete the old app then try to re download it again today,

you should be fine,

if anyone has the app it will stop working today and you will need to download the updated one to get back in the prime service,

when i attempt to play amazon app i get a wdw pop-up that reads, The game couldn't start. Try downloading your game again." and references help at xbox.com/support.

It appears that Amazon does have an app for the Xbox 360 according to the FAQs regarding this question.

Install the Amazon Instant Video app

From Xbox Home, go to Apps, and then select Browse Apps.
Browse or search for Amazon.
Select Amazon to download the app. Once downloaded, the Amazon Instant Video app automatically starts.

To start Amazon Instant Video later, go to Video, My Video Apps, and then select Amazon.

You would look for an Amazon Prime app in the store on the console, download it from there, and then sign into the app with your Amazon account.
