I bought Xbox live the other day and all has been good. But suddenly I got disconnected from a game (Halo 4) and noticed that the play list shrunk and no one was online, so I changed game (Black Ops 2) and done the update, as I clicked multiplayer it told
me I needed to sign in to a Xbox live account, upon looking though the accounts my account was there but unable to be selected. It advised me to re-download the profile, as I clicked that an error code " 80004005" came up and told me it cannot be done, try
again later. Has this happened to anyone else? Can anybody shed some light on what's happened and how to resolve the issue if it is within my ability please? Many thanks.

 

it looks its only few of us so they dont care... they have milions...

 

If this isn't resolved soon i will actually get rid of my 360 and One out of principle.

 

i think you can start now.... i removing dust from my ps3... after almost 8years being big fan of xbox spendin lot of money for gold and games i need to back to my ps now... sad but true...

 

Yep it sucks mate. I stuck by them even with an significant underpowered next generation console, this is a straw too far though.

 

What's up with the continued silence from ms?

Nobody has even popped in and said "We're sorry, we're working on it, we'll get back to you.".

 

It's likely that they have no idea what the problem is so they don't want the reps jumping in and offering solutions that could aggravate customers or make the problem worse. I'll say it again though, knowing MS, noone is going to get any reprimands except
for maybe a one month token IF YOUR LUCKY. I had to pester support for 3 hours to get one because I'm not going to pay to *** keep XBL going when I cant even play.

We really apologize for the inconvenience we are indeed receiving reports that have an issue on downloading profile on the consoles.

We are currently discussing the matter in hand and will definitely come up with a solution. No official announcement has been released yet so please bear with us However, we can still try some troubleshooting steps.

 

no conspiracy, ive dont extensive tests with 6 or 7 different employees of microsoft on both xbox one and 360. They keep trying to rope me into checking all the obvious stuff, like making sure my tv is on and pluged in. sigh.

Its obvious evrytime i spoke to anybody they had no idea what the problem was, nor would they tell us what it is untill its fixed, maybe. I think there just buying time by geting people to wait 6 days for a phone call. 6 DAYS!!!!

One more thing ive noticed when i succsesfully downloaded a profile that had not touched an xbox one, is that around about where the progress bar stops is where it should start downloading your avitar.

Also make sure that your security proofs are good and sound. Currently I have a ban on changing mine for thirty days as the old recovery info no longer exists and I had to request a change. I am sure I did this before but maybe I had to activate the accounts
security info with some kind of emailed code, which I did not do on the date that it was all suposed to change.

I downloaded my profile onto my cousins Xbox 360. The profile. and contents where successfully installed. Meaning it could be down to the profile its self

After looking through posts. I have noticed that some people could dowload their other gamer profiles, but not their main ones. However, they did change their email address associated with their Gamertag. And this may be the problem. I can't see the problem
been down to the Xbox One, as my profile was last on the Xbox one and still is.

This is why I want to ask, Have you been trying or have you changed your email address connected to your Gamertag?
