Unable to download Games with Gold games

I renewed my Xbox Live Gold membership for a year two weeks ago.

I'm unable to download Games with Gold games for 1/2016. I'm interested in DiRT showdown, but don't have the ability to download it. I see a tile on my Xbox One dashboard asking me to renew - it does not appear that my subscription is active.

I spoke with a representative about the problem on 1/1. She asked me to reboot my system multiple times (which didn't fix the problem), and said she'd be in touch with me on 1/2. I haven't received a call, email, or any more information. The support email

Sorry to hear it. The issue is not with your Gold membership as you are showing as Gold on the forums here. The issue is that you're trying to purchase a 360 game on your Xbox One.

This currently cannot be done. But what you can do is click the link below to make the purchase online and then go to My Games & Apps and scroll right until you see Ready to Install to install the game to your console.

No its due to the fact you have a us account and using it in japan

you have two optiona using the base us connection or match your account region with your actual region

that means the game is available only in japanese

there is another route but I doubt you want to do that as it does get expensive

getting a satilite internet from sprint

it gives you tbe us connection like a base connection

due to international laws and content and distibution rights most triple a games will most likely be region locked there is nothing ms can do as its is part of international laws

its not a matter of providing content you must abide by international laws civilian or military

thats the short answer

there is only two things you can do first there is a deal with dod and ms but you need to talk to your base commander for a dod connection or get a sprint satilite connection by yourself

region locks are inplace due to differences in content laws and distibution rights

So you're telling me that Microsoft has no way to support overseas military members or civilians who are entitled to the Games for Gold games that are deemed specific to regions? Assassin's Creed 2 worked just fine and that had a Japanese version... I
really don't want to change the region on my XBOX as then I will get all my XBOX home in Japanese specific also.
