Unable to download games from xbox gold.

I wonder if someone could help, we have multiple xboxes in our house, two 360's and an xbox one, since the last console update, we have been unable to download any games from xbox gold, it just gives a message awhile after starting the download, cannot download
(game name). We are getting this problem on both 360's, I have tried all the suggestions on the forum, deleting and clearing cache etc...help?

I cannot download some games from xbox gold. Keep getting "account unable to make this type of purchase on xbox.com. please complete from your xbox."

I'm on my xbox, not xbox,com and I have an active gold accout. Any suggestions?

I have purchased Gold, I download Xbox One games with gold, but I am unable to download any of the Xbox 360 games with gold. I will propose that my country is added, it may even happen one day, but...

Even if it made sense to not take someone's money online because he/she is from a particular country - still it doesn't make sense to not be able to download free games because of a payment method.

 

It seems as though a lot of people are experiencing this issue including myself. Although there has been no specific solution as yet I'm sure they are working on it. For the time being you can try checking the storage device to see if there are any unfinished
downloads. These will have a yellow exclamation mark (!) beside them.

Other than that, what I do is just keep restarting the download when it stops. It will eventually finish.

 

....i can only restart the download once or twice, thereafter it just says unable to download straight away....tried deleting unfinished game and clearing cache, but it doesn't help, downloads are also very expensive in my country, so I cannot do this indefinitely.....

 

Ok, thanks for the info. Which country do you live in and is your gamertag set for the same country on Live?

 

We are in south Africa, and yes, my gamer tag is set to south Africa, I never used to have a problem, it is only since last month.....

 

Ok, what type of storage device do you have for your console (official hard drive or usb) and how much space is available?

 

Official hard drives, 73 gigs on one. 450gigs on the other...

 

And which type of console are you using? What is the full size of both drives if nothing where on them?

 

Xbox360 200gig and 500 gig. I can download paid for content, I just can't download anything from Xbox gold's free games. This is since the last update last month. Our Xbox one doesn't have this problem.

 

I'm having the same issue. It started with Bioshock Infinite, now Gears Judgement. I'm in the US and region is fine. I use Comcast and have Arris TG862G modem. Download speed is 20Mbps. I am hardwired, not using wireless. Xbox One on same connection
is not having any problems.

I've cleared system cache, updated modem firmware, etc....

 

I contacted xbox support via chat and they confirmed this is an issue being worked on. They don't have an ETA. They had me do 2 things: 1. Delete/reinstall my profile on the 360, 2. Initiate the download from xbox.com. I was able to download Gears
Judgement successfully after that.

 

I'm so annoyed I missed out on gears of war and now assassin Creed free gold game won't download...it stays on 0 % then says 30 sec later unable to download (game name) what is happening? So annoyed was so looking forward to assassins creed and don't want
to spend agonizing hours trying to download it...has anyone had or having this problem and if so any suggestions...I have plenty of room on my HD and have no other problems downloading other than free games....how Coincidental...

 

As long as the download was initiated it will always be in your download history.

Are you actually a gold member normalbuscuit36, as you are silver here?

Does your physical location match your consoles region?
