Unable to download from Microsoft store and gamepass

Hi bought two ultimate game passes and a disc game (mafia 3) a few days ago, I have stacked them on my xbox one, and everytime I try to update said game it is saying installation failed, also I am unable to download from the Microsoft store or game pass
store as as soon as I select install it says error almost immediately. My xbox is up to date with its current update, the Internet connection is brilliant, I'm in correct profile and my xbox live status is good, as I'm able to play games I had previously downloaded,
I have tried resetting the Internet hub, I have tried restarting my xbox via controller and turning xbox off at the console by holding on button for 18 seconds, leaving it for a few minutes then restarting, anf finally I have reset the xbox one (choosing to
keep apps and games) and still I'm having these problems. Can anybody suggest what the problem might be that's causing this and if so what to do about it? Thank you to anyone who can help

have the account with gamepass set to home xbox. if you are still unable to access gamepass you should be able to download directly from the store.

Try downloading Minecraft Launcher on ONLY MICROSOFT STORE on your friend's or family member windows desktop/laptop using your account. 2nd Sign in the account that you own the gamepass to the minecraft java. The game will verify that you own the gamepass then you're processed when it says "play with gamepass" than the demo version. Final step is to download minecraft launcher on your MacOS from minecraft(dot)net/download then download the MacOS version and after downloaded you sign in with gamepass account then you're done.

I'm saying to download from MS store on your friend's or family's windows pc is because the MS store version will actually validate your gamepass than the minecraft.net version. After you've validate on your windows you can go to your Mac and download from minecraft.net/download for macOS then sign in the account that you own the gamepass.

You need the gamepass app or xbox app and queue your downloads from the gamepass section not from ms store

Hi Jesse,

I did all the steps no strange scenarios there, everything seemed to work without issue, and when the store and the gamepass app returned I noticed I had an update for sable of aroun 600MB so I picked that one on the gamepass app and sadly it redownloaded the full 2GB of the game again, however I noticed that I had other applications from the store that needed an update, like the phone companion and an update for the language experience, I downloaded those from the microsoft store this time since those don't show up on the gamepass app and they only downloaded the full size listed on the store, only the update, I'll wait for another update on another game to confirm downloading via the store instead of the gamepass app but I think it's only an issue with the gamepass app
