    Hi

    Suddenly I am unable to download games from XBox gold. at first i got the unhelpful message that I could not complete the purchase right now. After digging around I find that this is probably a paypal problem. I changed my paypal account to France which
    is where I live and then it wanted me to add a credit card. I did that as well. I am still getting the message that I do not have a valid payment option on my account despite having both a card and a paypal account. sometimes I wonder if gold is worth the
    hassle.

    Is your account region France? You can check commerce.microsoft.com

    If it is then you need to contact support

    If you use uk on your console that would be why

    Your accounts region must match your payment option

    You have to use them region migration tool found under account's and change my region

    Even if it made sense to not take someone's money online because he/she is from a particular country - still it doesn't make sense to not be able to download free games because of a payment method.

    I'm having the same issue. Was purchasing/reserving the Games with Gold for XB1 since April and just got my XB1 last month. Was able to get August's and this month's free games no problem but was unable to download anything from before then.
