Unable to download Fallout 4 update

I have had Fallout 4 since Christmas, but I never played it. I have been wanting to play it recently, so I decided to to attempt to play the game. So, when I clicked on the game it said that Fallout 4 needed an update. However, when I attempted to download
the update, it said that there was a problem and I should try again later. I have tried numerous times with the same result. I tried uninstalling the game and then seeing if that would help and it has not. Then, I bought the game from the Xbox One Sale to
see if downloading it digitally would automatically update the game. That did not work ether. If anyone has any suggestions on what I can do, I would be very thankful.

Fallout 3 code message expired before I could use it.

- I preordered Fallout 4

- recieved promo code for Fallout 3

- Was unable to download due to Fallout 4's release date

- message expired

- Now I'm sad

Product: Fallout 3 (as part of the Fallout 4 order)

Date Purchased: 08/2015

Problem: Message containing code expired.

Fallout 3 code lost in messages.

I purchased fallout 4 and was sent a code to download fallout 3 as a promotion for pre ordering. Now I am unable to retrieve the message and after speaking with xbox live support via chat I was told to post here.

If someone could assist me with getting the code for fallout 3 that would be great.

I've purchased fallout 4 on a disc with a code for fallout 3 digital download. i can install f4 from disc but the update starts and stops at 0% the same applies to f3 even though I've redeemed the code the game refuses to download, and I am no longer able
to dowload f4 for gamepass anymore. I've done everything short of smashing it up. I paid for game pass and am unable to play the game I purchased it for , I've purchased the original disc and I'm unable to play that also and the reason I purchased the disc
was for fallout 3 digital download which I'm unable to download?? and nothing is fixing the problem or refunding me for be ripped off and ignored

Negatory. Fallout 4 is the first and only game to experience this.

In the time between posting the question and your reply I initiated a factory reset of the console itself and am currently downloading the Fallout 4 update to see if that works.

Fallout 4 is Single Player only. It does not use the Internet at all. What may be happening is something else is able to be downloaded in the background since the game doesn't require the Internet. I know part of my update for the New X-Box Experience
downloaded while I was playing Fallout 4. The next morning when I went to play the game the console asked to restart and the update was applied.

Last night, some Xbox One users were able to download the Fallout 4 Digital Deluxe Edtion from the Xbox Store for free. However, that was due to a store error from Microsoft and those users will see that game removed from their Xbox One library.

Many users were able to download the bundle before the pricing error was corrected, but according to Xbox Support, those users will have their licenses revoked as part of end-user licensing agreements with Bethesda and Microsoft. Users who downloaded the
Fallout 4 Deluxe Edition bundle will be unable to play the game, and copies of the bundle will eventually disappear from those users' Xbox One libraries.
