Unable to download COD: Advanced Warfare on Xbox 360 - Going on 2 days now

I have been trying to download COD: Advanced Warfare on the 360 for two days now. I have contacted support three times. The last time, I thought it might finish downloading. It stopped and failed at 40% right after I got off the phone with the agent.

Supposedly this is a known issue and Xbox has their "finest engineers" on it. If Microsoft's finest engineers can't resolve this issue after two days, then we need to find some different engineers.

What exactly is going on, why am I unable to download the game after two days and how do I get this game complimentary?

I have cleared system cache x3, reset Network config, tested Xbox Live Connection (x?) and finally got the game to 40% with the agent on the phone. Soon as I let her get off the line, disconnected from Xbox live.

So, I erase the game from my hard drive, do all that clearing, go to the game, download again, it gets to some random %, then I get disconnected from Xbox Live. I reboot, it is in active downloads, advances a few %, then disconnects again. I reboot, it is
in active downloads, advance 0%, then tells me the game cannot be downloaded.

I have downloaded multiple games via Marketplace with this same network config, my internet speeds are great (for the U.S.), etc. So shouldn't be anything on my end.

I live in Oregon (NW), so my account should be in the NW.

And Xbox's website says nothing about any known issue with downloadable content anywhere.

So what is going on? I really want the game I just paid for, but am unable to D/L.

Please, for the love of God, help me. Before I do something crazy.

Your speed is high is it fibre?

If It is fiibre then you need to work with your isp as fibre isn't setup for gaming by default

 

What is different about fiber? It's still TCP/UDP packets being transferred. Plus, I've been downloading games for a long time on this same connection...

 

Just an update, I successfully downloaded a trial of Minecraft on my 360 with no issue. Granted, it is a completely different game (much smaller), but regardless. I CAN download a game. So maybe this is an issue with just COD: Advanced Warfare. Just the
most popular game currently. No biggie.

 

Okay, so I got it downloaded by (everytime I got disconnected from Xbox Live) logging back into Xbox Live, then going to 'Settings > Account > Download History > COD: Advanced Warfare > Download Again' WITHOUT deleting it from my hard drive. So basically
I kept forcing the game to continue to download after every disconnect. Sometimes, I had to restart my console if the continuation failed. Sweet,

Well all too short lived... The campaign requires 2 more downloads. Each 1.5GB-2GB. And of course, I'm having the same issue downloading them. I don't think they'll show up in the download history, so I just keep having to log back into Xbox live. They resume
on their own (pretty much the same situation as the game itself). God I am tempted to get the PS4 after this. So bad! It has now been 2.5 days since I started this download. Hours and hours of brute forcing the download.

Of course the last tech I spoke with on the phone is not responding to my emails (which she provided in case I wasn't able to complete the download). I would've stayed on the phone with her until it finished if the *** game didn't take FOREVER to download.

I will try to report back here if the download(s) are corrupted. I'm sure there is a chance this is the case. If so, I will be burning everything Microsoft I own, and getting Apple & Playstation products.

Hope nobody else is suffering from these issues!

You have to remember the size difference

With fibre its not optimized for gaming

You are talking about minecraft which is a small game

Aw is huge

You are going to face the same problem with ps4

Lucky for you next gen consoles will download in the background

So your best bet is to contact your isp and resolve the firewall issue

 

Ps4 games are so biglike 20-40 gigs depending on the game

 

T He issue is with large downloads the size times out you can always try and continue but the speed may time out

Trials are extremely small

The Mac will not have an issue because you are talking about standard ports

 

Its not just the TCP or UDP issue

Your ISP will concur too you will have to call them up and mention you are having download issues on Xbox live specific ally large downloads and they will help you with their settings

 

Is there a site where I can read more about known connection issues with fiber internet. Might not be relevant because I have Comcast, which I believe is cable in my area. Also, when talking ports, my router is configured with the Xbox as the DMZ (all ports
open on the Xbox). I mention this because you mentioned an issue with a firewall configuration.

If there is something that can be done, I would love to learn, because, guaranteed, Rashneesh in India (Comcast Tech Support) is definitely not gonna be able to resolve anything more complex then resetting my router.

Yes you google your ISP and connection type and any gaming service

Its a widely known issue and resolved by your ISP

It's not just isolated to Xbox live but all consoles
