Unable to download Battlefield 1 open Beta

I was getting this same error today when trying to get the Battlefield 1 Open Beta. I used the app on the phone and it worked just fine.

I am getting it when trying to preorder the standard edition on the website. I want the disc, so i can get the rewards credits. I am reluctant to try buying it any other way, as I'm not sure that i will have the option to choose digital or hard copy.

I have been on the phone to Microsoft Support on my account, and Xbox support without any success in resolving this as I'm trying to pre-order Battlefield 1 Early Enlisters Edition, it fails after I select the card to use and the buy option.

Have checked and rechecked every setting against my account and everything is correct, and as I've had this same account since the original Xbox Live days I would presume it is not my account?

Hope there is an answer very soon on this?

I am having the same issue, and I know of others who were as well, for different games (see also

www.reddit.com/.../microsoft_store_content_restriction).

The issue appears to be when an adult who administers child accounts as part of a family through Microsoft family settings attempts to make a purchase on Xbox.com. Instead of getting the regular confirmation, the transaction fails with the following error
message:

Ask an adult to change your settings
To buy this, an adult needs to change your family settings at account.microsoft.com/family.

[time stamp]

The error seems to be browser and platform indifferent. I tested it on Safari, Chrome, and Edge, on Mac, Windows, and iOS. I was able to get it to work through the Xbox app on iOS, and according to the above link, the workaround seems to work through
the Android Xbox app as well.

Hey, everyone! I've moved you over to the Xbox Support forums to better assist you. While making the purchase on the console with all child accounts signed out is a great workaround, we'd like to dig into this further so you no longer need to do that. Can
you please post back with the games/content you are running into this error on (if you are running into other issues outside of the Battlefield 1 Beta)? Additionally, are you guys attempting to do this on both the website and console, or on one or the other?

The more information we have, the better! Thanks for anything you can provide to help us dive into this.
