    Unable to do multiplayer in Minecraft


    I'm trying to do a multiplayer game in Minecraft but am unable to do so with friends in Minecraft. I've read through prior post and here's what I've tried:

    • The account is set up under my name (with an adult's age)
    • In xbox settings, the radio button is checked to allow multiplayer games
    • In Minecraft, the toggle for multiplayer games is greyed out but seems to be set to on (to the right)
    • I've updated my OS
    Suggestions?

    On your privacy settings page (https://account.xbox.com/settings), have you also allowed “You can play with people outside of Xbox Live” and “You can create and join clubs”?

    Also, what edition of Minecraft are you playing and on what device?

    Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you are unable to play multiplayer on Minecraft. Do you get any error codes? Have you tried connecting to other people or friends in multiplayer? We recommend may try uninstall and reinstall the game.

    Have either of you been banned from the game? Or maybe under the allowable age? I'm not sure what the allowable age is, but I'm sure someone at EA knows.

    I have a child account above the age of 13 but don't know how to update to an adult account
