Unable to dashboard or bring up friends and messages menu

when I try to go to the dashboard or bring up my friends list,by pressing the xbox button ,it wont let me and I cant use the keyboard menu either.Help me please as this is an issue that I don't know how to resolve .I have to restart my xbox every time
I want to switch game or app or go to the store

Accepting Game Invites while playing backwards compatibility games

yep, press the select and menu button together to bring up the 360 guide and go to messages or friends list or whatever and treat it exactly like the 360, even 360 parties work like they should.

 

Game invited from 360 to X1 nor the reverse not showing up for BC games.

Make sure you are using the Xbox 360 emulator to send friend requests and invites on backwards compatible games (Press the menu and view buttons at the same time). This will bring up the dashboard. Notifications for friend requests and game invites will
not go through to Xbox One.

Try doing a hard reset on your console. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.
Once it is back up and operational test for results. Let us know. Good Luck!

 

Thanks for the help however I didn't even need to do this because when I turn my xbox off I unplug it so as not to waste electricity and that did the job just fine.

 

I was tryed to do hard reset, but it does not help, Dashboard not work.

 

Try logging out and logging back in. If that doesn't work maybe try removing your profile completely and re-adding it. Let us know. Good Luck!

 

It not help. But two times dashboard was starting after opening Help application. Now it does not work again.
