unable to create new gold account

I have been trying to set up a gold account for my 9 year old since xmas day with still no luck. Keep getting message live sign in not available. When is this going to be fixed!!

You could definitely try waiting a little while. Also, maybe try clearing your browser cache/cookies and restarting it, or trying a different browser. Let me know if that helps.

I'm said friend and was able to create an account today. I had already cleared my cache/cookies and restarted my browser (Mozilla Firefox 7.0) but waiting seemed to do the trick. Thank you!!

 

Are you using a new email address that has never been linked with an Xbox Membership?

 

I am using new email address for daughter as she only got xbox 360 for xmas. I have used my email for my boys previously with no problems. I just keep getting message live sign up not available at moment try again later. Getting really frustrated as been
trying since xmas morning.

 

Have you tried creating the account here on Xbox.com and then downloading it on the 360 console?

At the top right of this page you should see a section to "Sign in." Try signing in there with the Microsoft Account you want to attach to this new profile. If you haven't created a Microsoft Account for that email yet, there's a link for that on the page
as well.

Once you've signed in, you'll see a page when you visit Xbox.com that prompts you to create an Xbox profile. Follow those prompts and you should have a profile created for you!

This profile will most likely have an automatically-generated Gamertag, but you should be able to change that for free once within 30 days. You can find out more about that on
this page once you've created the profile.

Once you're ready to add the profile to your Xbox 360, you can download it to the console by following the direction on this
page.

I have been trying to create xbox profiles for my boys on xbox.com for days as well (they already have microsoft accounts). it won't let me past the "parent: approval required" page. Really frustrating!

 

Thanks for the tip I created account on laptop then down loaded to xbox. Very happy daughter, happy mum.
