Unable to copy and paste on Xbox app

I also have this issue only recently. Its also now not bringing up the keyboard on my phone or my laptop both connected to the xbox as i can use the controller functionality just not the keyboard.

It's amazing to me that there are so many Ambassador's on this site who don't have a clue about this feature! Yes it is a feature and does work!

If it is not working for you try this.

I've found the first thing to try is to do a HARD reboot of you XBox One. There seems to be an issue where something will happen in the background of the OS and the keyboard will stop working. In my experience so far a hard reboot will fix this and cause
the keyboard entry and copy/paste features to work again until the issue happens again.

Another thing to do to keep this issue for ocuring as often is to put the XBox in "energy-saving" (settings -> power mode & startup -> power mode -> energy-saving) mode. This makes it so the Xbox will completely power down when you turn it off instead of
going into is listening sleep mode. Of course the drawback to do this is that you will no longer be able to wake up your XBox with a voice command. For me, this was not big deal.

Disregard. The new update allows such an action possible, so that fixes my problem.

Try this, it worked for me after doing it and rebooting.

Open Powershell(in admin)

copy and paste below Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers| Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

and hit enter.
