    Unable to control son's account


    My 9 year old son's account USED to be linked to mine. We don't have an Xbox, and mostly use it for Minecraft. He recently asked me to add a friend for him (the account is pretty locked down) and I went to do it and his account doesn't show up. It shows
    up in the Microsoft Family Safety site, and I can control that side, but if I go to the xbox site it doesn't show up. If I log in with his ID it says an adult needs to make changes.

    I've tried removing him from the family and re-adding with no luck.

    The only way I successfully changed his profile was by creating an xbox account for my wife, who is also tied to him as a parent through microsoft family. Her xbox profile can see everyone. Mine can still only see me.

    I spent a couple hours with support the other night and they were stumped and escalated it.

    Any other suggestions?

    Trying to change XBOX live accounts and emails around in the family as they're all jumbled up

    We have 3 different XBOX live accounts that need sorting out as they were originally set up a few years ago and aren't in the right accounts. We have the following:

    ACCOUNT1

    Dad Gamertag

    Son's email address

    Parent control by Son's email account

    All LIVE Billing done through this

    ACCOUNT2

    Dad's email account

    Odd Gamertag

    No linked accounts

    ACCOUNT3

    Son's Gamertag

    Mum's email account

    We want it to be as follows:

    ACCOUNT1

    Dad Gamertag

    Dad's email address

    Parent control by Dad's email account

    All LIVE Billing done through this

    ACCOUNT2

    Delete

    ACCOUNT3

    Son's Gamertag

    Son's email account

    Tried for ages but nothing works. Please someone help...???

    How do I change my son's child account to an adult account for xbox.

    I am trying to change the parental controls on my son's xbox account. I want to delete any restrictions.

    The account age is tied to your son's Microsoft account which is unable to be changed for privacy and safety. We aren't able to speculate on 2K's decisions for online play I'm afraid.
