Unable to connect to Xbox Live

Hello, I haven't been able to connect to Xbox Live at all for the last 4 days, though internet is working fine on all other devices. I have no ethernet plug in my room so I use my laptop to access live on my 360. I have used this method and the same router
for almost 2 years and it has functioned just fine during this period. I've contacted tech support from Microsoft, Bright House (service provider), and Motorola (router manufacturer), and none of their solutions have solved the problem. This is very much a
recent circumstance that started after live was seeming to have several other issues a couple weeks ago. I have restored my network to factory defaults, reset my router, had my service provider open ports for my router, ensured the network was set to share
on my laptop, and other methods and nothing at all has solved the problem.

Anyone else unable to sign into xbox live when playing the 360 games?

When pressing both the Menu and View buttons to bring up the mini guide it just says connect to xbox live.

Hey there, TearyAmoeba! I'm very sorry to see any connection issues! It sounds like you are using Internet Connection Sharing. If I am wrong, please do correct me, because I'm going to offer support based on that.

While we do not suggest connecting up with an ICS connection for a long term suggestion, we do have a
Connect your Xbox 360 console to Xbox Live using a Windows computer in place of a router support article. Give the suggestions in there a try to see if that will work to get your connection
working again.

If it doesn't, I'm sorry to say that it likely won't work again. Network cards in laptops aren't designed to be their own routers for other devices for long periods of time, and the Xbox will decide that it doesn't want to connect up that way. If you would
like to make sure your console isn't the issue, I suggest moving the console to connect directly to your Motorola device. If it isn't connecting up there, you will want to set up a repair through our
Online Service Center.

If it does connect up just fine, then my suggestion would be to look into an extender to add in your house to help beef up your signal. Some extenders can act like an ICS connection where they get the wireless connection but you are able to wire things into
it.

Both through WiFi and also via cable test failed again.

The Xbox device to the default mode, it still wasn't right.

I format the hard drive, it still wasn't right.

Got a new modem providing, it still wasn't right.
