Unable to connect to Xbox live

Hello, I don't know what's going on. Here's the run down, I origionally had a Hughesnet modem and a Linksys router. And I use to be able to get on Xbox live, including on my phone using WiFi, than later on I was unable to connect to Xbox live and a few other
websites. I tried unplugging both the modem and the router for a few minutes, but it didn't do anything. So I thought that maybe its the router. So I switched from a Linksys router to a D-Link router and I still have the hughnet modem and shortly after, I
was able to connect to xbl and a few other websites that I couldn't before. Than two days later, people from the city came by to knock down some trees but accidentally cut a power line. I had no power for a hour, but after I got power again I attempted to
get on xbl but like before with the Linksys router, it said "live connection error". But this time i was able to go on other websites that i couldn't before. So I went to on the xbl website(using my phones cellular connection) and no solution. I don't know
if it's because the power was cut off, the router/modem won't allow access to Xbl or something else. So again, I can't log into Xbox live via the Xbox 360 and I can't even access any link on Xbox live, including the forum section on WiFi. I have to log in
and post this using my phone's cellular connection.

Anyone else unable to sign into xbox live when playing the 360 games?

When pressing both the Menu and View buttons to bring up the mini guide it just says connect to xbox live.
