Unable to connect to xbox live

For four days now I haven't been able to connect to Xbox live with my Xbox 360. I have tried every tip that was thrown my way from the official Microsoft Site and also other users. Today I decided to contact the Microsoft Support directly via the chat option.
There some lady told me to delete my account and clear the cache of my Xbox hard drive. Of course it didn't work and then she said we are having maintenance problems currently and it might take a while to get it fixed.

Now I cannot get my account back obviously, because I cannot connect to Xbox live. So I can't play my games offline properly since the account I played them on is gone PLUS my Xbox Gold membership is linked to the account I just deleted and I was refused
a refund! I just want to know now, if there is a maintenance problem with the Xbox live servers then why the heck is the status on the Microsoft homepage not updated?????????????? It still says that all Xbox live functions are running just fine. And I spent
hours trying to fix the problem, thinking it has to do with my Router, NAT type, etc. . I am pissed on so many levels and just had to get this out there. This is the worst support I have experienced in a long time!

Anyone else unable to sign into xbox live when playing the 360 games?

When pressing both the Menu and View buttons to bring up the mini guide it just says connect to xbox live.

The same issue for me. Luckily, I didnt delete my account. Obviously the problem is only with Xbox

360, not XOne. Is this Microsoft strategy to push us into XOne? :-(

I'm having the same issues! My internet is working fine but I still can't connect to xbox live for the past 4 days as well
