Unable to connect to Xbox Live while game is loaded

I've been having connection issues with my Xbox 360 for months. When I start the console, it no longer automatically connects me to Xbox Live. Attempting to connect to Live only gives me an error code, 8015190B. The troubleshooting tips for that error code
haven't helped. I've reset to factory defaults, tried both wired and wireless connections, and tried resetting my router several times.

The weird thing is that I can sign in to Live if I start Netflix first. Once I'm on Netflix, I can get on Live, download Games with Gold, DLC, anything like that. But, as soon as I start up a game, I get disconnected. And that's for any game that I've found
so far, whether disc-based or downloaded.

If it matters, my Xbox is a 360 Slimline with 250 GB storage. I've been a Gold member for several years and never had any problems like this until May this year.

EDIT: I forgot to add this. When I do a network connection test, it always fails on the Xbox Live portion. I can connect to the network and the internet just fine, just not Xbox Live. When I attempt to reconnect after I load a game and get disconnected,
I get the same error code as mentioned above, 8015190B.

Xbox dashboard freezing

Whilst signing in to xbox live my console freezes and is unable to return to the dashboard. This also happens when i try to return to the dashboard from within a game. At the moment the only way i can connect to live is when i already have the game loaded.
I have try clearing the memory cache but this has had no effect at all. Any solution to this problem would be much appreciated.
