Unable to connect to xbox live via td link td-9980 router

are you trying wireless or wired ? ....which ever it is , try the other...

Some mark/model's of router's have been proven to that using the latest firmware version will cause issues. This is not common but it occurs now and then. If there is certain major issues known to the manufacturer they usually tend to solve these problems
be releasing an improved version of firmware. That's why you always will make sure your router's firmware is up-to-date.

In some rare cases, downgrade the firmware version has solved issues that occurred with a later version.

These firmware are compatible with Xbox LIVE.

This problem might occur for one of the following reasons:

Just want to add my name to the list of those unable to connect. Can't log in to LIVE. My connection test passes and it seems as tho I'm connected as all of the adds will load on the dashboard. However it does not sign in to my account. If I click my profile
to log in to it, it disconnects and gives me the "can't connect" error message. SmartGlass on my RAZR will not connect either. Also, trying to load any account info on the Xbox website gives me this:

How are you today my friend? Sorry about the issue. If you have done all the downloading troubleshooting my colleges have supplied for you, the it might by the network you are using to connect to our live services. If you are not connected to the live services,
the account option in settings will not show. Like everything else our live services have to be up to par with the requirements to make sure you stay connected to our Xbox live services. Here's a list of our system requirements and guidelines for connection
