Unable to connect to Xbox Live via connected internet sharing

Yesterday I set up connected internet sharing on my Xbox One with my Windows computer. It worked fine at first, but ever since I shut the Xbox off and turned it back on this morning I have not been able to get this connection to work. I am unable to connect
to Xbox Live. It says my current network status is wired, IPv4, NAT Type unavailable, and service info unavailable. I'm not very knowledgeable about this, so please feel free to ask for any other information and I will do my best to provide it. I'm attempting
this on my college wifi because when trying to use it wirelessly it has been very laggy and hard to play. It worked well yesterday and I had no problems, I just can't figure out how to get it to connect again today.

Xbox Live and hotel Wi-Fi via Ethernet?

I need to find a way to connect my Xbox 360 to the Wi-Fi at hotels, considering I go to one almost every month. I have a game review due by thursday and I need to get this internet working. The issue is, hotels usually take you to a website where you have to log in on a website to connect to the Wi-Fi. This makes the Xbox Live connection impossible if you're doing it through Wi-Fi....

But what if I logged into the Wi-Fi on my laptop and connected my Xbox 360 to the laptop via Ethernet Cable. I have Windows 7 so I'm guessing there's some Microsoft internet sharing option that's compatible with other Microsoft products.... right?

 

Thoughts/Suggestions - Internet Connection Requirement

I imagine there are a number of posts with a similar topic but perhaps not as focused. I'd like to hear from other end-users (gamers) on their thoughts or suggestions for the Xbox One's policy on the internet connection requirement.

I'm sorry to hear about the connection issues. Unfortunately, we do not support internet connections bridged through another device. If it's not working, we are unable to troubleshoot that. I would recommend reaching out to your campus networking department
and see if they can help you out.
