Unable to connect to Xbox Live on 360 Emulator

Hi,

Whenever I start Black Ops I get asked to sign in but it fails every time. The temporary solution I got is to switch to Wireless, login, logout, plug the LAN cable back in and then I'm able to login. But I need to repeat this process constantly.

I opened all the ports (xbox) that are known to my Xbox.

Does anyone have a solution?

Question about Backwards Compatibility.. kinda

It is an emulator, but it also connects to live and yes, your friends will see you as if you are on an Xbox 360.

Heya friends! I had this problem awhile back, I solved it by turning on my dusty old 360, deleting and re-downloading my profile and clearing cache. then launch a game on 360 and connect to live. once that's done you should be able to use the emulator easily.

This usually occurs when there is a gamertag change or the cloud saves related to the game have injected material.

Same problem has been happening to me for a week. It's extremely frustrating and haven't found a solution to it yet. I'll keep you posted if I find one!

 

I have the same problem, it was working fine a few days ago then this started happening

 

I just tested multiplayer and it logged right in to xbox live then hit find match and players showed up and played no errors or hick ups,

in the bottom right is your nat type OPEN?

 

My NAT type is OPEN in both the Xbox Network and Black Ops menu.

When your wired are you using a switch or anything between your internet provider modem?

 

Yes,

I use a NETGEAR Gigabit Switch.

 

Is it a Managed or non managed switch like a regular hub?

 

Also try bypassing the switch and go directly to the modem if you can.

 

Non managed, plug-and-play. And I rather not since my other Xbox, and PC are connected to the same switch.

 

Ok I was thinking just as a test to see if the switch was the issue, I had to replace mine with a different brand to make it work, it was a NON managed gig switch to my xb1. and only for the xb1.

 

I just found a fix to my problem which was like this. I made sure my NAT type is open.

Go to windows Cmd (command prompt) and type in "ipconfig /flushdns" and it worked for me right after that!! Goodluck!

Sorry to inform you but that is a coincidence,

the only thing that does is remove the DNS cache ( Domain Name Server ) Registration information for the actual computer your on nothing more. The other command registerdns will reregister the DNS.
