    Unable to connect to world (Minecraft)


    So my partner and I have just bought a second xbox in order for us to play together.

    We play games such as Roblox and Overwatch together just fine, but when it comes to Minecraft (bedrock, v1.16.201) we have major issues.

    We can't connect to each others worlds, doesn't matter if it's creative, survival or adventure.

    We have:

    •Checked to see if we are on the same version, we are.

    •Checked we have the same game, we do.

    •Checked that both games are up to date

    •Checked both our privacy settings to make sure they allow online multiplayer.

    •Unfriended and refriended each other

    •Restarted both consoles (several times)

    •Check our NAT which is open for both of us

    •We have uninstall and reinstalled the game

    •Logged into different accounts and tried to connect that way.

    However, we can join a party in the online servers and play together on there e.g. Hide and Seek on The Hive.

    We can also join our younger siblings (who do not live with us) worlds and play with them all without any issues, and they can join all the worlds that we create too.

    Any more recommendations or help would be so amazing

    Only message is on the game, “unable to connect to world”. Also, no, we do not have childs accounts. I am grown and still playing minecraft with my sister lol

    It could well be that he needs to do a power cycle on his Xbox. I had this issue once where it was impossible to join each others worlds. However, it was with Xbox to Xbox. We both power cycled our Xbox's and it worked for us then.
    I might also have something to do with the settings on that server? This could be a NAT incompatibility issue. Ask our friend to their NAT type, it should say open. This can be done by following these steps:

    1. Click the Start icon and open the Xbox app.
    2. Select Settings > Network.
    3. Under Network status, check the NAT type

    If the problem persists, let me know!

    Minecraft unable to connect to world

    Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this.

    Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.
    Tried this and we're still having the same problem unfortunately.
