"Unable to connect" to specific person in Minecraft on my Xbox.

If he or she has an older version of Minecraft or if your Minecraft is on an old version then you will have trouble connecting to the gamer. It can also not allow you to connect to the player if you are in the Beta Minecraft.

to only one specific person, there might be some conflict between the two connection in which case both you and your friend will have to troubleshoot the issue. I would suggest trying to

troubleshoot the network using this support article as it is something you and your friend will need to try.

Sorry to hear you haven't been able to game with your buddy. Let's see what we can do.

It sounds like one of you may have a Strict or Moderate NAT type.
To fix this, I would suggest both you and your bud run through our
Xbox Live NAT Error Solution.

Let us know what that finds, or if you have anymore questions.

try reconnecting to your internet box to re-establish open net.

Have you two checked your Xbox Live privacy settings to see if there is something that might have been changed by accident that is preventing you two from connecting?
