Unable to connect to server. Software update failure.

This was unplanned and Xbox is aware of this issue and is working on a fix. In the meantime you can try and offline update or the update
troubleshooter. I'd also advise doing a powercycle of the console. There is currently a service alert up related to this https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-live-status

ZappyKins, if you read the initial post you'd know this user had no update and was not connected to the LIVE servers for at least a week. Please stop blaming a software update for hardware failure.

No that makes no SENSE. However most update failures are caused by firewall or server time out issues.

Make sure you use a wired connection when trying to download the update

Failure to establish a Teredo IPsec connection to the QoS server can occur when the Windows Firewall is disabled, when security software has altered the Windows Firewall configuration, or when required Windows services have been disabled or stopped.

To properly isolate your concern, check the NAT type on the Xbox App.

1. Click the Start icon and open the Xbox app.

2. Select Settings > Network.

3. Under Network status, check the NAT type.

I think personally think that the server is just busy and you should try again in a few minutes. repost if the problem persists.
