Unable to connect to game servers, but can use apps, see friends, etc. just fine (using hotel ...

I travel a lot for work so I'm in and out of hotels quite a bit. I brought my Xbox along with me this time because I wanted to enjoy Destiny when it's released tomorrow. When I got to the hotel, I did the "alternate mac address" trick to get the Xbox connected
to the wireless since it won't automatically take you to the screen to accept the hotel's internet ToS.

I tested both the network connection and the multiplayer connection through the Network Settings and it said everything was good to go. The NAT was listed as "moderate" with "all services available." Netflix, the friend's list, and most other apps work just
fine. However, when I try to play a game online, it says there is no active internet connection. I've tried this with Titanfall, CoD, Diablo and have not had any luck.

Does anyone know of a way I can get this to work? Or am I just going to have to wait a few weeks to actually be able to play Destiny?

XBox One February Update - Multiplayer Bug with Alternative MAC Address

Posted to the other thread, but in case someone who can help might stumble in here -

Ok, here's an update. The system is behaving like it has been since February.

Connected via wifi on laptop. Changed xbox to mirror laptops MAC address. System reset, connected to xbox live. Netflix, hbo go, etc, working properly.

Titanfall - internet access not found

Battlefield - unable to connect to network

COD - cannot connect to xbox live

All apps still running properly, party chat, friends lists, etc still work.

Test Network Connection - "It's All Good"

Test multiplayer connection - "It's All Good"

Detailed network statistics

Download - 8.16 Mbps

Upload - 2.20 Mbps

Packet loss - 1%

Latency - 86 ms

Wireless strength - 95%

NAT type - moderate (never seen open at a hotel in 5 years using alternate Mac)

"All Services Available"

6 other pilots, 8 different hotels in the last 48 hours, all same result.

HELP PLEASE.

 

Issues with connecting to hotel wireless internet

you have to try and "trick" it buy using a laptop to get you to the sign in screen for the hotel then use the laptops mac address on the xbox one.....check the link below.....

I am having the same issues as above while using hotel internet.

 

Are you using wired or wireless connections as they are problems with wireless settings and spoofed MAC adresses?!
