Unable to connect to dhcp server

HELP! I am about ready to throw my XB1 out the window! I have my Xbox hardwired, I don't have any issues watching Netflix, Amazon, Pandora, plex, etc. yet when I do a network test it fails and says it can't access my dhcp server. I returned my xb1 and
got a different that has the same issue. I also did a factory reset on my Netgear nighthawk x4 router To no avail. What gives?!?!? I have another Xbox one in a different room and it connects right away with no issues. HELP please!!!

I have had trouble with this issue also but I took some time and messed around pretty much mostly coming to dead ends but I found the reason if you go into your network settings on your Xbox One console and go into the advanced settings it will ask you three
different choices select Mac address and then select clear it will restart your console and then when you restart your console it will connect to internet automatically unless you have the setting to connect automatically turned off then you will have to do
it manually I hope this post helped

I've done all of that. No change.

 

are both xboxs hardwired ? if yes I would switch them and see if the problem follows the xbox or stays with the location ...

 

I've had a similar problem for months now. It seems that about once a week I'll boat up my Xbox and won't be able to connect. I'm hardwired in and all of my other devices connect just fine. It seems the only solution is to reboot the router. After that the
Xbox can connect fine, at least until it doesn't.

 

Have you tried updating your router to make sure it is running the latest firmware? It sounds as if the DHCP server functionality within the router is malfunctioning. I woud also suggest setting the console up on a static/reserved IP address if that has
not already been done.

I use a Netgear Nighthawk R7000 and I don't have an issue with connecting to the DHCP server.
