Unable to connect to brother’s world (Xbox One)

I’ve been playing Minecraft with my brother for the past few days (me on Xbox him on PC) but all of today I’ve been getting the message “Unable to connect to world” every time I try to join his world. I can join servers but not his world. I’ve tried several solutions like making the NAT type open, disabling firewalls, etc but nothing seems to work. Is this a bug in the game and is there any way to fix it?

Thank you for contacting the Xbox Support forums. We understand that you are having connectivity issues when attempting to join your brothers' PC Minecraft world. Let us look at this together and get you back to gaming.

Before attempting the troubleshooting steps that I included below, please confirm if either account is a child account. If your account or your brothers account is a child account, the multiplayer account settings for the child account may need to be adjusted. To confirm your multiplayer account settings, please sign into the Xbox Account site and confirm that everything under the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows 10 devices Online Safety section is set to Allow.

Additionally, we recommend that you preform basic troubleshooting steps such as restarting your console, restarting your internet router/modem, and uninstalling/reinstalling Minecraft and seeing if the issue persists.

We also recommend that you view Mojang's support article on Minecraft Multiplayer Connectivity Issues.

If the issue persists after following the above troubleshooting suggestions, then we recommend that you submit a support request with Mojang directly.

i believe it is a problem with the router or modem because my brother's Xbox is also unable to connect to Xbox Live. our computers work, but the Xboxes do not.

My friend and i have had this ongoing problem where he is unable to connect to my worlds but i can connect to his (connecting to my worlds works just fine for others) and we have no idea why. and advise or support will be helpful. Thanks.

Just to make sure is this the Xbox one edition or is it the bedrock edition of Minecraft?
