Unable to connect to a friend

Hello,

My apologies if this has been raised before (I was not able to find a thread for it) but I am having an issue with connecting to a specific mate on my friends list. My friends list is 15 and I can connect to all of them bar one. when I send him a party request
or a game invite (we play FIFA 14 mostly) it always says cannot connect to party. I am also not able to have a privite chat with him. We have done some searching and we have done several router re-sets and have done Xbox live connection tests and we both get
the all clear, no NAT issues or anything but we are still not able to connect to each other. Any ideas are welcome, thanks.

Unable to connect to a friend

I am unable to connect to a friend. We have been doing online leagues for years, and never had an issue. We can connect when we have a third person involved, but that's it. We have used different network connection on both sides. Neither one of us is
getting an NAT message and it just started the past week or so out of the blue.....anyone have any ideas?

Well this is a normal documentation on what is going on with the connection

Example T represents Type of connection used

T: Type of Connection used: Wired (Ethernet)

But College campuses use a main router and multiple people use this and that's what causes some internet problem's because of the slow packet transfer rate is not as fast so you will get a connection error to your friend, Also it says his NAT is OPEN but
it wouldn't be because college's if I can remember right also close certain port's not necessarily Xbox port's but other ports that were set on the router to not send any incoming packet's or connection to.

He needs to ask his Network Enforcer if he can reset the Modem and it should fix the problem.

Hey there Epsilon! It's definitely sounding like a NAT issue to me- those aren't always caught by connection tests. One "nice" thing about them, though, is that generally they can be corrected on either end to get you connected. Here's some info on fixing

Can you try what Miss Portia suggested, connect your console directly to your modem instead of the router, and verify if you can connect properly. Thank you!
