Thank you so much for the update and in this case, can you please try connecting on a different network connection? Please connect on a 5GHz network.

    Xbox One S, WiFi problem

So i will have a look at the article, i should just say my ISP router/gatway isnt IPv6 enabled my internet company still havent supported IPV6 there still in the process of sorting that. when im in the network settings its always IPV4. but as i say its so
odd, because when setting my xbox up it didnt want to connect to the 2.4 band it said unable to connect to your network. but when i selected the 5Ghz band it connected straight away.

then sometimes when i turn the xbox on it connects straight to the 5ghz without a problem but most of the time its connects but flashes the teredo error.

    Xbox One - WiFi Issues.

    Hi all,

I too had some networking issues; which are thankfully resolved, where the One couldn't connect to my Billion 7800VDOX.

In short, I'm using both 2.4 & 5Ghz frequencies named as "wlan_24" & "wlan_5" respectively. Both use WPA2, AES and have the SSID hidden. My first grievance was that at the initial setup, nowhere does it list the MAC address of the interfaces. This is also
not listed on the packaging or the console unit; which makes it difficult for those using a MAC filter on their modem/routers (like me).

So, anyway; after disabling the MAC filter on my 5Ghz network and going through the manual setup with all the correct settings, I was unable to get connection. After trying a number combinations, I tried the 2.4Ghz network (again, after disabling the MAC
filter and manual setup), which worked immediately.

Only after the first system update could I connect using 5Ghz network. Needless to say, I also checked the MAC, put this into my filter and re-enabled it.

I'm not sure if others are having similar troubles with 5Ghz frequencies, but this may suggest some software/driver issues with the XBO 5Ghz networking adapter or ongoing development of thier networking packages.

Xbox One S wi-fi suddenly keeps disconnecting every ~15mins (faulty wifi card?)

    Thanks for the help!

After 6 days of troubleshooting this, I think I found a solution. I found the 5Ghz network that my Xbox was connected to was very congested (there were tons of other 5Ghz networks in my area). Changing the channel didn't help.

I tried changing the channel on the 2Ghz network and connected to that instead and that seems to have fixed the issue.

Even though 5Ghz is supposed to be less congested, everyone seems to prefer that over 2Ghz. When I looked at the Wifi analyzer app, there were tons of nearby 5Ghz networks. I think it was causing dips in signal strength, causing my Xbox to disconnect from
Wifi. On the other hand, there's not that many 2Ghz networks and some channels weren't being used.

Two xboxes in home, one lags terribly in co-op only recently. Any ideas?

The new xbox 360 slim does not support 5Ghz connections, but the older xboxes with a network adapter will support a 5Ghz connection.

If you decide to buy a dual band router, remember that only the older xboxes can connect to a 5Ghz network.

I have a Netgear N600 dual band router with two xbox slims connected. The slims both work of the 2.4Ghz connection, the only thing I had to enable within the router was Upnp (Universal Plug and Play) setting. Both xboxes connect without issue, and I experince
no lag when both are online at the same time.
