  1. Unable to Configure 2nd Controller to my Xbox One S console

    Hi Xbox Team,

I have recently purchased an Additional Controller (Pirates of Sea Model) for my Xbox one S . Some how by watching videos in You Tube, i have connected 2nd controller to my Console , but while connecting the 2nd contoller , i didn't switched on my Master
Controller. So , after connecting my 2nd controller to my console , am unable to use the X button of it. In order to troubleshoot it , i went to Settings>Devices & Controllers> Configure Controller . I was able to see options to Configure my Master Controller
but when i select configure option for 2nd Controller , it shows like "
    X -> ?
" Click a button to Map X . and thats it , it does nothing even after i keep on pressing X , and all other buttons , its doesn't go back from that screen until i press home button , its almost like screen gets hanged . So , i suspect that
X button of my 2nd Controller in not mapped correctly and not allowing me to Map or might be a controller issue. I have tried to restart the Controller twice. but it didn't work. All other buttons of 2ndcontroller are working fine.

So Team , Hope you understand my Issue , Kindly provide me a resolution for fixing this issue as soon as possible. If you want any other information or details , u can reach me directly by mailing to this Email - *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***.

    Thanks,

  2. Xbox One S Controller not working with headset adapter for Turtle beach XOFour Headset.

I just recently got an xbox one S to replace broken xbox one, and the original controller I used with my XO Four Headset (Turtle Beach) and the official xbox headset adapter. I thought my new S controller would just be a case of plug and play after the console
and controller was done updating, I could hear my friends in party chat but i have been unable to talk using my S Controller. Do I need a new headset adapter or is there something else wrong?

xbox one s new white controller range

For me yes it is. I've had disconnects on my older controller (the Forza one), but not on the Xbox one s supplied controller. Looks like I need to buy another 2nd controller. Is it just the white one with the console and the GOW4 controllers?

Whatever video you watched on YouTube was the wrong video.

In order to add another controller to your console, you don't need a "Master Controller". I assume you watched a video on how to configure "Co-Pilot", a feature where you can "split" the inputs of a game to two controllers. For example, if you have a disabled
friend, or a young child, or a person that never played videogames, you can give them a controller, and have them control simple actions on their controller (like for example firing a trigger at the right moment), while you take control of the more complex
actions in the game like steering the car or aiming at an enemy, and letting your Co-Pilot partner have fun, without being overwhelmed with the complicated controls.

    Read the
instructions here on how to enable and disable Co-Pilot
    .

    Also read here on
how to change the button mapping on a controller
. Maybe you changed the assignment for the X button. If so, reset the controller back to defaults.

In the future, whenever you need to add a new controller to your console, simply do this:

Press the Bind button on the console. It's the small button below the Power button on the X or S models, or on the left corner on the side of the disc drive slot on the original Xbox One.

The Xbox logo on the console should start to pulsate.

Then press the small bind button on the front of the controller (between the RB / LB buttons), and the Xbox button on the controller should pulsate as well.

After a few seconds, the controller should be connected to the console.

If the wireless pairing process fails, simply get a MicroUSB cable, and connect the controller with an USB port on the console, to immediately pair the controller. If you remove the cable, the controller will still be paired to the console.

    Controller

Idk. I have 2 controllers from MS and one from 3rd party (The new Duke controller) the first controller came with the console of course (wich was the original Xbox One) and still functioning just right . The second controller of mine is a white wich also
came my 2nd console (Xbox one S) and also working perfectly.

The "Duke" is working fine too but i not counting that because that is just licensed by MS.

    Messed up with button layout...

Hey there poison ampoule and TwistedPixkle18,

If you accidentally unmapped the "A" button on the controller the way to fix it is to do the following. You will need a second controller to do this, it's not possible to correct the issue with the only controller.

    1. Connect the controller with the problem to the console.

    2. Connect a 2nd controller to the console.

    3. Using the 2nd controller navigate to Settings>Kinect & devices > Devices & accessories.

You should see both controllers listed in the accessories screen here.

    4. Using the 2nd controller Highlight and select "Configure" on the problem controller.

    5. Adjust the button mapping so that the buttons will be configured as you prefer.

And that should do it, you can then disconnect the 2nd controller and navigate as normal.

    Hope that helps!
