    Unable to complete Xbox gamertag setup for Minecraft


    Hello,

    I recently purchased Minecraft and linked it to my Microsoft account.

    However, when I try to launch the game and sign in, I’m redirected to a page asking me to create or confirm an Xbox Live gamertag.

    The problem is that even after entering a valid gamertag, clicking the “Next” or “Continue” button doesn’t work — it looks like it’s being clicked, but nothing happens, and I can’t move past that screen.

    I’ve already tried the following steps:

    • Using different browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox)
    • Using incognito/private mode
    • Trying on different devices (PC and mobile)
    • Checking for any age restrictions on my Microsoft account
    • Accessing https://account.xbox.com directly
    None of these attempts solved the issue. I’m completely stuck at this stage and unable to access the game I’ve purchased.

    I would appreciate your help in resolving this as soon as possible.

    Other players are reporting this issue. Please try to sign in to the Minecraft website (https://minecraft.net) and setup his Minecraft gamertag there and let me know how it goes.

    I would suggest setting up a call back from an Xbox Live support agent by following the steps below. The agent would be able to look into your account and see what might be causing that issue with your Gamertag change.

    Step 1 ----Select Xbox One

    Step 2 ----Select See other options

    Step 3 ----Select topic (Ex. System Update)
