Unable to click Next to complete Device Control TV Setup

Hello,

I purchased a new TV today and am not able to set it up in the Device Control for Xbox One.

I search for the TV model number and get a list of models to choose from. My model is in the list, I select it. Navigate to the Next button and click it and nothing happens. I can click the Back button which works.

The TV is a XBR-75x850C Sony.

I also have not been successful in finding the remote code for this TV to go that route instead.

Steps for setting up Hauppuage WinTV-HRV 955Q on XBOX One?

After you plug in the wintv usb(you will see a power light come on), if it does not go the setup screen. You can go to Setting,Tv & OneGuide, click on the Device control. Under Devices, you should see "TV tuner settings" click on that, than you will see
"Set up TV Tuner"

I figured it out! Go into settings - TV & Oneguide - device control. Click on cable or satellite box then cable or satellite box setup the click "Enter it" Type in DCI105 It will then take you to a list to choose from. Open the list and select DCI105 (for
me it was at the top of the list) then click next and you're done.

Head back to watch TV and try a command associated with your configuration (Xbox commands or Cortana commands). You're welcome.

 

Do you actually click on it to make sure it is selected or do you just cursor to it? I have see instances where that was the issue with these types of problems. Let us know. Good Luck!

 

Yes, I am quite sure that I actually click on the next button. After clicking on it multiple times rapidly, the screen very briefly displays the progress animation but quickly goes away with the same screen visible and the Next button still highlighted.

 

I tried other Sony models and the same behavior occurs, I then tried a couple of Sharp models and in those cases after clicking Next the progress animation is displayed and it then it falls out to the initial device control settings screen without having
having a TV configured.

I should also mention that I had previously configured my Seki TV without any issues, I removed that device from the configuration prior to attempting to configure my new Sony TV.

 

Try doing a hard reset on the console. Hold the power button on the console until it shuts down completely. Once it is down after a couple of minutes restart it and see if that helps. Let us know. Good Luck!

 

After a hard reset, I go to the Device Control settings and it says TV: Sony not set. Then I go in and enter my model number, search, find the correct model number in the drop down list, select Next and click it... same behavior nothing happens.
