Unable to Clear Local Cache.

Hello.

For the past few days I have been attempting to clear my Local Cache on my 1tb Battlefield 1 edition Xbox One (with no external powerbrick) and have been unable to do so. I DO NOT use my Xbox for anything other than gaming, and only go online once a month
to check for console updates. I am on rural American Internet that is very slow, so I do not play games online, take screenshots or use the other functions of the Xbox One. I only go online to let my data sync and to check for console updates. I do NOT download
game updates as I actually want to play them, not wait weeks for patches to download on my slow speed. I have NEVER had this issue before.

I have attempted the following methods as well as being connected online and waiting over an hour to allow my console and game data the time to sync with Xbox Live (which happens as my achievement score does update).

Hold the power button for ten seconds.

Turn off the console, remove power cord from console, wait two minutes and plug back in (as I have no power brick or light, I then wait two minutes before turning console on)

Changing the MAC address.

Deleting Persistent Storage in Blu-Ray.

A Partial Console Reset (This also removed all my saved games and despite cloud sync being on, my saved games were unable to be restored and were in fact not even there).

Absolutely NONE of these options have worked and barring a full reset to factory conditions (something I really do not want to do as it means my console and Internet will be completely unusable for weeks if not a month downloading console updates). I would
appreciate some feedback on what might be happening and how to delete my local cache without doing a full factory reset

And honestly, after you guys included the ability to manually delete it on the Xbox 360, it makes ZERO sense why you removed it for this console. Again my console and data DOES sync with Xbox Live, but as I have slow Internet, downloading patches for games
means 4+ days for even a 1gb patch, so being connected to the Internet while gaming is out of the question.

I'd like some help to resolve this issue so that I can get back to playing my games without worrying about achievement progress and stats not being saved.

Hi, a little clarity is needed here, why exactly are you wanting to clear the cache? Powering off and disconnecting from the power supply for a minimum of two minutes will automatically clear the cache.

It really would help to know what exactly is happening.

Same issues and have recieved the same messages as well...the local cache just will not clear.

about in my OP.

It did not solve the issue, and while it kept my installed games, it wiped all saved games from the console (which I was then unable to recover due to the cloud apparently not working).

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this situation. I understand you're having trouble with clearing your locally cached memory. You could definitely consider doing the "soft factory reset" You can go as if you were going to do a full factory
reset but there is now an option that allows you to "Keep my Games & Apps" That way you wont have to wait for the full downloads.

Note: You will need your Microsoft Account Email and Password to recover your gamertag after the reset as all accounts will be removed.
