Unable to claim free 360 GwG via website because there is no free option.

Hello, I am Xbox One user. I have valid xbox live gold. I was able to get Assassin Creed black flag via my xbox for free but when i want to get Plants vs Zombies via website I can't see proper option to claim this game. Only options I can see are: Buy it
now with price tag (over 10$) and try demo for free. I live in Poland (EU). I tried to try this via smartglass but my version of app shows only xbox one titles in the strore. What can i do to get this game for free. I want to get this because of BC.

You have no valid payment options on file

Hi there,

I'm afraid that 360 content will require a valid payment option on your account (even for free content it is required) the only option that could work is to acquire the GwG 360 content via an actual Xbox 360 console on all other places, like xbox.com or
Xbox One console etc it will require a valid payment option like a credit card.

No... Xbox Live is not free this weekend, multiplayer is. The free multiplayer weekend does not give you the option to download GWG for free.

It would be still free you just need a payment option on file

And as long as you arw gold when you click you wont gwt a price

Hence why you should be using the console

I have started getting exactly the same message. I never have and never will register my CC with Microsoft. XBOne GWG can be bought and downloaded fine but 360 GWG Free games I get this error. I know you can't (and never have been able to) 'purchase'
360 GWG via the website so I always boot up my 360 just to purchase them. Now I can't even get them via my 360! It has effectively halved the GWG I can get with my Gold subscription.

What gives Microsoft!?

It was free for 2 months when GWG launched on the xbox one.

because the website is not setup for ms account currency as a payment option

to purchase free content via the website you must download by having a payment option on file

this does not charge your card it just confirms your location

if you want to download free content without a card you must download via the console
