Unable to Chat in Minecraft.

I am using Minecraft Windows 10 Bedrock beta 1.16.20.50 on my PC.

My family plays Minecraft together over LAN, with my spouse on her computer, and the kids playing on their Xbox One or laptop.

I cannot view messages sent by others, and when I try to chat, I get the message "You cannot chat with other players because of how your Microsoft Account is set up. See instructions for reviewing and changing your privacy settings at aka.ms/MCMultiplayerHelp."

I followed the link which took me to https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us...en-Trying-to-Play-Realms-with-a-Child-Account.

My account is the parent account, and I made sure that everything was set to "Allow" and "Everyone" or "Friends."

I still get the error message after restarting our router and my computer.

I have the same problem when I play on Xbox.

It seems that your unable to see other players chat messages nor they can see your chats. We recommend consulting this directly to Minecraft support forum as this is more in-game related issue already.

Hooray the problem seems to have fixed itself.

Ensure your NAT is set to open. There are also extra ports that need opening for the Xbox one. There is a guide on these forums that can help should you run into any more problems.
