Unable to change TV channel

My Xbox Identifies my Motoroa VIP1003 tv box. However i am still not able to send the next channel/prev channel command when i either use the Smartglass or the Xbox One Media Remote.

Instead my tv box shows what is coming next. If i however press page up or page down on the smartglass it will change channels. It seems that its sending the wrong commands for channel up/down.

I am unable to see how i could have configured my xbox wrong since it identifies my tv box automatically. Maybe this is a bug?

Xbox One with Time Warner Cable

Just purchased an Xbox One. Set up the live tv feature and I am able to see the picture but I am unable to change the channel. My channel listing shows using the xbox controller but I am unable to change the channel by using the time warner remote. I set
up the cable box by entering the model number SMT H3260 manually for the box and the tv was found automatically. Any help would be appreciated.

When going through the initial set up, once I got to the prompt that has the 'send command' and it is suppose to change my tv channel, it doesn't work. I was able to manually type in the Directv receiver model and it pulls up the guide and allows me to use
voice commands to go through the guide but it will not actually go to the channel I ask it to and even by selecting that channel in the guide with my xbox remote, it just goes to the channel it is currently on. what would cause this?

 

Hey there, tihino! I'm really sorry that the channel up and down doesn't seem to be working as it should. Let's see if we can figure this one out!

First, are you using Smartglass on your PC or your phone? This will help us figure out which version you're using if it is indeed a bug. Also, are you using Smartglass Beta, which is used for the Update Preview, or the regular Smartglass app?

Second, would we be able to try to set up your set top box manually instead of automatically? I want to do this to rule out the possibility that something went funny in the automatic set up.

Post back the results and info, and we'll start from there to see what we need to do to get this fixed up!

 

I am using smartglass on my iPad, the version of the app is 2.7.0624. It is not the beta. But since i am in the Update Preview program i guess i should change this anyway.

I tested to input the box manually to Motorola VIP1003 but the results were the same. I then tried to only enter the manufacture and use the Guide Me options.

There results were indeed interesting. Now i can change channels, but up is down and down is up, so its reversed Volume and mute works correctly.

In the options were the xbox tried to send the channel up command it sent the channel down command. I then answers No to the question if the command were successful. Even tho i pressed No. The guide stopped and told me it had identified my box.

My box is now marked as Motorola (remote code C3916).
