    Unable to change region


    Hi all,

    I recently moved from the UK to CZ, bringing my Xbox 360 with me. Whenever I try to make a purchase I get a 80150017 error.

    I've logged into my account to try to change the region, but it always fails with the "There’s a problem completing your move right now..." error.

    I meet all of the criteria on the support page. Could it be that I have a UK Credit Card tied to my account for a One Drive subscription which is causing this error?

    I'm on the verge of buying a Xbox One, but it's pretty pointless until this can be resolved.

    XB Black Ops 3 beta

    1) xbox.com
    2) redeem code
    3) change region to Brazil
    4) Go ahead and hit the green button to paste the code
    5) Change back to US region

    I tried these steps last night and it worked. It doesn't make sense that you need to change the region for it to work, but w.e lol

    I am trying to add credit card details but have found that the account profile region has been set to US. The account should be referenced to the UK, but I cannot edit my own profile, please advise how this can be done as your 'help pages' are useless.
    The reason you allow someone to edit things like their address is because they change. Strangely enough we do not all live in the US

    Sorry to hear it. Please check the link below for reasons why you may not be able to change your region.

    support.xbox.com/.../change-region

    If you can't find a solution there then I would recommend contacting phone support for more assistance.

    Please read my post - "I meet all of the criteria on the support page".

    I have been backwards and forwards with support for the past two hours.

    They recommended that I wait for an answer in this thread

    If you have changed regions with the last 3 months you will not be able to change it again until that 3 months is up. You are only allowed to change regions every 3 months.

    Sorry but no one here is going to be able to help with this. Support sends people to the forums when they don't know an answer or don't want to do the work related to it.

    In order to solve this issue someone would need to have full access to your account. No one on these forums has that kind of access nor should they try to get it. Your best chance of solving this issue or getting help would be by contacting phone support
    again. If the person you're speaking with cannot help then tell them you want to escalate the issue for better assistance.

    Hey Lee ws,

    What did the support agent ask you to do (troubleshooting steps) when you were unable to change your region?

    Is your One Drive subscription still active? Because if that is, that might be the cause of your trouble switching regions.

    Support is pathetic.

    Excuses have ranged from my OneDrive subscription, my PC locale, nonavailability of OneDrive in my country (which is BS), 24-72 hour sync time on my account... Whatever excuse they can dream up to get you off of the call they will use.

    You have e to do it at account.xbox.com

    You must usr a payment method from your region as backup

    Using the regiom migration tool can only be done every 3months

    If your account is less then 3 months old you must wait for the 3month mark

    If you bought a code from another region that would be why you don't buy out of region codes
