Unable to change Microsoft Account associated with my gamertag.

I've spent the last 4-5 months trying to change the email on this gamertag to my currently used email, I can sign in to both no problem but when I attempt to switch the two and press Confirm, it shows a loading screen for maybe a second or two and then says
that the accounts can't be swapped right now. No support found on the internet helps including the xbox support page it sent me to for more information. The old email I was using was compromised and I no longer have access to it to fix that, I'd rather not
have to worry about one day not having access to this account. What can I or you or anyone do to help get this resolved.

Adding/Changing an email to an existing Gamertag

Gamertags are tied to a Microsoft account, so changing the email address associated with the Microsoft account will also change the email address associated with that gamertag. There's a guide on

Child Account

My son's xbox live and gamertag are associated with my microsoft account. My account also has my subscriptions for office 360 and OS, so I am unable to simply change the email address associated with it. I want to move the existing xbox live and most importantly,
his gamertag from my account to his child account. How can I do this? The virtual assistant is an idiot and no help.

 

I think you may have to contact phone support on this one. Perhaps they can help you with the email switch.
