    Unable to change Microphone Level

In the New Dashboard, I can no longer change the microphone level on one of my devices.

If I navigate to Settings > Kinect & devices > Devices & accessories > {select controller} > Volume, it does not open a page/tool to adjust volume levels. Instead the left side system snap appears.

Anyone experiencing this issue or know a workaround?

In the old dashboard this would bring up a page with 2 sliders that would allow you to adjust microphone level and volume level.

I have already communicated this to Xbox Support and they were unable to resolve the issue. So far I have tried 3 different consoles, 4 different controllers and Microsoft and third part headsets.

    :)

  2. Headphones and mic not working

I have tried all these but I still get the microphone sign with a cross through it. A message also comes up 're are unable to find a microphone for these player's' when joining a team.

  3. Xbox standard headset unable to connect properly.

When I plug my headset into my controller, it works and I can mute it and change the volume but when I go into a party, it just says unable to find microphone. My console and controllers are both up to date so I don't know why this is happening.

    Questions about Headsets

You're should to use an external microphone mixer. It's cheap and useful, coz you can change the input level of few microphones without switching your attention to the PC

    Microphone very quiet

You should check the levels of your microphone from the console.

    1. With your headset attached, press the glowing “Xbox” button
    2. Navigate to the “System” tab
    3. Select “Audio”
    4. Adjust the “Mic monitoring” option
    5. Slide the bar left to decrease the microphone volume level
    6. Slide the bar right to increase the microphone volume level
    Hope this helps! :)

I can't talk in game chat

Have you checked the microphone level on your settings?

What happens if you test the microphone on the settings as well?

    Microphone input level

Hello, My name is Jesse. I'm an Independent Advisor and a member of the Microsoft community and I'd love to assist you today.

No, there isn't. Mic Monitoring is the only way to increase the microphone input levels to my knowledge.
