Unable to Change Contact Email.

My Microsoft account has the incorrect contact email. Everywhere else is correct. Going to manage alias, it's not listed to remove.

I have already done this. It's the section under contact email. It lists the incorrect one as the only one. When going to manage, the incorrect one is not listed to remove.

 

If in the email section you have only one address you cannot remove it. Before being able to actually remove it, you need to add a new one to be set as the main.

Beware though that you cannot add another MS email address to an account (@live, @outlook, etc) since every MS email address is tied to a different account.

 

Just so I am understanding you correctly you want to change your contact email.

Do you mean you security proof (where they send verification emails) when you try to change your email, password, phone number.

If you are wanting to change the security proof you can sign into account.microsoft.com

Go to the security tab at the top of the screen and on that next page go to update info.

Do you mean where they send emails like when you purchase something and they send and email letting you know that a purchase was made?

To update this one again sign in at account.microsoft.com

Go to Payment and billing tab at top click on address book in drop down on the next page under email go to edit and you can edit what email the billing and stuff is sent to.

Which email are you wanting to update?
