Unable to change child account to adult account

Hey , my name is Roy .

In my xbox one i got 2 accounts one is adult account and the other child account and they both in a family in the xbox one.

Today i tried to change the child account to adult account from the adult account, i clicked the adult account when the option was on custom it changed , but when i checked again if it changed to adult it was still on custom.

pls help

I want to change my account from a child account to an adult account but I forgot my adult account completely. How do I change my account from child to buy games and actually use it if I forgot my adult account?

Adult account accidentally deleted

The adult account got accidentally deleted from our Xbox one and now I’m unable to change any child settings. Is there any way to recover the account or solve this issue?

Hey there. The child account should automatically change to an adult account once the account holder reaches the age they are considered an adult in their region (18 in most cases). If it doesn't change, the birth date on the account is likely incorrect.

Hi Fellwo gamer,

Once and adult account is made, there is no way of changing it to a child account. You can change the date of birth on Microsoft. On Xbox, you are unable to change it. So it will register always as adult account. You would need to

make another account set as a child account.

Hi Hendo,

Thanks for coming to the forums. If the account is still a child it is recommended to keep the adult account assigned to the family until the child account graduates to an adult account. If you are an adult and made a child account in error there is

ways you can prove your age. As on Xbox.com you are unable to change the birthdate at all.

what do i change on adult accounts? adult ones are set to aus and have phone number and email, i have tried changing the adult ones to UK to match child one but still unable to create family groups

You can change a child account to an adult account, but you can't change an adult account to a child account. In order to manage them, you would have to create new child accounts for them.

Is the account in question a child's or adult's account? If its a child account you may want to change it to an adult account and give it a shot.
