Unable to buy Mirror Edge on Xbox One

Hi,

I'm trying to buy Mirror Edge through Xbox live (it's free this month for xbox live gold member), but I'm still have an error message which told me that "impossible to finish your transaction, try later", this message occurs since 4 days. I've asked the
Microsoft support chat, but the guy told me that for this game I need to plug my X360 on the network then buy on it and download it on Xone ...

That's really annoying, somebody can help me with this trouble ?

Can´t buy free assassins creed chronicles china although i have live gold account

Dear all,

i have an active account and payed xbox live gold account. Every time i try to "buy" assassins creed chronicles china for free on the store in my xbox one, the page jumps back to the xbox live gold main page. This bug is reproducible.

Don´t know what i am doing wrong. I was able to buy for free Mirror´s Edge just before.

Any ideas?

This error usually occurs when not having a credit/debit card or PayPal account on your Microsoft Account as valid payment methods. Using an Xbox 360 to download the game is the easiest workaround to this, after which the game will be in your Xbox One's
Ready to Install list.

Thanks for your answer, I already have two credit card on my microsoft account, I've made the test with both of these, I will try to add Paypal account and do the test.

I've gave my old X360 to my brother because I don't use it anymore. So I'd like to avoid disturbing him with this kind of issue.

 

You can also receive error messages if you're on a child account.

someone else was saying they had an error message when trying to download it thru xbox.com. they said deleting their cookies or browser cache or whatever fixed it. i also got the error message on xbox.com but didn't try anything to fix it yet.

my error message is sorry your purchase cannot be completed, try again.

 

I've tried thru xbox.com, XboxOne interface too. I've also tried the "private mode" in my web browser to avoid any cookies or cache, but same issue. I'm still unable to buy mirror edge, so I will check next month for other xbox360 games, if the issue still
occur, I will switch on another console when my live finished.

It's written in the FAQ that we can buy X360 games thru web browser for Xbox one, so I don't understand why I must plug my old console to download it on the new ...

 

Why don't you use the store frontit still requirements the creditcard but it tends to avoid cookie issues

 

You don't need to use edge young just go thru the store which is still the web store but you usually will get better descriptions and correct regional.content

 

ngocphi, I don't understand your answer, I've no child restrictions on my account, I'm using the french store (because I'm french). I've tried to add another payment method (Visa, Mastercard and paypal), same issue with all of these, I've tried to clean
cookies or run the private mode, same issue in every cases.

Ms Support guy have told me that this restriction have been put by the editor or Mirror's edge, It's a weird answer, but nevermind, I will try next month on another X360 games.

 

ngocphi: we have both stated that we used the xbox.com "web store" and it's not working. basically it amounts to a "try again later" message. that would be fine except there is only about a week left for that game to be free, and i doubt it will just
start working out of nowhere, as i've been trying all month and nothing.

AzuSpam: a restriction by the mirror's edge publisher? what, preventing the purchase through xbox.com? that doesn't make any sense, and i've never heard of or seen anything like that. sounds like an answer to get you to stop trying. if there is a BUY
button, then it should work. if it wasn't available for download, there would not be a BUY button. and being the Game With Gold for this month, a lot of people are going to be disappointed if this issue isn't resolved.

 

QuickMythril : Yes, I've noticed that the answer from MS Support is very weird. So I gave up for Mirror's Edge, I hope it will be good next month. I'm surprised about such an issue, because I've not seen lot of topics for this issue.
