Unable to buy backwards compatible titles for / on Xbox One S.

Hi, I've been scouring the marketplace for backwards compatible games (specifically Xbox 360), and have found that it restricts me from buying the actual games. Every time I have tried doing so, this error keeps re-appearing:

The first thing I must point out is the fact that I am attempting to buy the game on an Xbox One S, so I'm very confused to why its asking me to complete the transaction on the console I'm already on.

Secondly, when I try to pay for games (even free demos) on the online marketplace, the same pop-up from above appears.

Some other information of note is that I do have the right amount of money to pay for the games I'm interested in, my credit card info checks out, but whenever I go and try to pay, it doesn't ask which credit card I want to use (I use multiple).

Can anyone help?

Fifa 16 isn't a backward compatible title that is currently available on the Xbox One. For a full list of Backward Compatible titles check out this page

Can't purchase backwards compatible games on the Xbox Store

So, I just purchased the Xbox One S last night and was so excited to be able to play a bunch of old titles on there. Found Saints Row: The Third, went to buy it, keeps saying "Can't complete this purchase". That happens with every backwards game title on
the store. Even games from the original Xbox. I know it's not a payment issue, because I'm able to buy Xbox One games no problem.

Anyone else having this issue with trying to purchase backwards compatible games in the Xbox Store on your console?

 

Hello! for problems with account loggin, internet and also Xbox Live access... (Console Power cycle)

We recommend to perform a power cycle on your console, here in the following link are the steps...

If this is too many steps for you, just do what i do, turn it off and unplug the AC cable for 30 seconds and plug it in again, this will do the same effect than power cycle...

Do you have a valid Credit/Debit card on the account? You need one on the account to make the purchase

You can not use xbox live gift card currency for backwards compatible games unless you are doing it from the xbox 360 console itself.

Is your account a child account? Child accounts can not purchase 360 backward compatible games.

 

As the previous poster mentioned you cannot make backwards compatuble titles via the xbox one s with a child account

The error you arr receiving isnt a bug

One you arent using an xbox to make the purchase it is refering to a xbox 360

2 the xbox ome uses the webmarketplace for.bc titles and has no direct axcess to the 360 marketplace hence the error

Nor does xbox one parental.sertings apply to xbox 360 marketplace
