Unable to buy ANYTHING on the store with $60 showing up in my micro. Account, but not on my ...

Hey guys, so I've been on the phone with support already twice today. I bought a redeem code from GameStop for Destiny, after trying to enter the redeem code on my Xbox countless times, only for it to load, and return to the "Redeem Code" page so I contacted
Xbox. The first gentleman I had spoke to went through a few short processes with me, and at the end entering the code on the Xbox website worked, and I was awarded the $60 Microsoft cash that I had paid for. Now comes the part where I try to actually BUY the
game. When I try to buy the game, it tells me that I don't have a credit card affiliated with the account, and that I should try again later. No options for editing payment methods were given/available at that time or on that screen. When I went and tried
to manually change the payment method, it said that it was unavailable and to try again. I cleared my system cache twice as well as my marketplace cache as directed y the SECOND person that I spoke to on the phone. For whatever reason the Microsoft money that's
on my account, isn't transferring over to my Xbox. I ran a network test/diagnostic test and it came back with some sort of server announcement, and xbox.com says it's not affiliated with the problem that I'm having, and that it's got to do with some VUDU app.
Any suggestions?

i can't buy anything in the store

recently i moved to another country and i put 60 euro's on my account ( in that other country ) but now i cannot buy anything in the store.

Is there a forum for XBox Music?

The points are showing up on my xbox account, but not on my zune itself. When I try to buy music on my zune the points are not there.

 

I'm having the same problem. I need Destiny today so can anyone help us?

 

Had no clue anybody else was having the same problem, this is really pissing me off! I made a live account, and rigged my xbox up and spent the $60 with intentions on playing my game TODAY.

 

I'm mad that I have I bought a $100 Microsoft gift card for destiny with expansion pack and I can't spend it online. I can't go on the console right now because my little brother gets to play it for 2 more hours and I want it downloaded by the time he is
done with it.

 

Hey bud i have some good news, after speaking to the THIRD person with customer support for the last hour and 45 minutes i found a solution. MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE A GOLD ACCOUNT. A silver account WILL NOT WORK for Destiny. I'm downloading it currently.
She was nice enough to give me a month of free live for all of my pain and suffering trying to figure this BS out. Good luck!
