Unable to Block Players

There are some players who have added be, but I am unable to block the individuals.

Steps Already Taken

So far, I have tried to block the individual via the Xbox App, which did take me off the player’s list on the App, and via the Xbox itself, and through xbox.com (I also unblocked and reblocked via xbox.com, but I had no success). Xbox.com and the Xbox App
both show that the player is not my friend and that he is blocked.

However, when I login to my physical Xbox and go to said player’s profile it states “You + 62” under the Friends section, and it also states “Unmute” and “Unblock” on the right.

Tickets with Microsoft Support

I have uninstalled my profile on my Xbox twice, and still the players name displays when I’m logged into my Xbox. I have sent in two tickets to Microsoft to see if the can resolve this issue. I provided Microsoft with pictures of the claims. Microsoft customer
support stated a “Ranger” would look into this, however, the last time I checked, the tickets were closed with no fix to my issue.

Researched Performed

I have also manually looked up all of his friends and my name does not appear on his list, however, I am in the belief he is “spoofing” one of his additional profiles to be displayed as me (I believe he has two profiles as the picture is the same in both).

Request

At this point, I want said player and his friends removed from my account, as it’s really irritating getting “booted offline” when I go into a lobby, causing me to restart my router. Also, it’s irritating to see messages from a blocked player, who shouldn’t
have the ability to send messages.

I am willing to send pictures of exactly what I’m talking about and the gamertags associated with this issue.

Please help.

THANK YOU! You’re right, my name still appears under his “You + 62”, but after deleting the message, the DoS attacks stopped and I can resume playing.

I have done that, and he has trouble when the VPN is applied, but the real issue I want resolved is why he is able to have me on his list when he is blocked, and when a one-by-one count of his friends doesn’t indicate me on his list.

You may want to contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider) if they keep booting you

I read over the thread and it's a little confusing if you are on his list or not on the console, but what comes to mind is this is just the result of a display bug on the console showing that "You+62" are this person's friend when you have confirmed using
two other platforms of Xbox Live that your are indeed not on his friends list and the person is indeed blocked.

Blocking someone on Xbox Live prevents any notifications from this person being received if you have any active messages threads with this person but if you don't delete those message threads, the person you blocked can still message you, you just don't
get notifications. You have to delete the messages to stop this person from messaging you entirely and then your profile is now hidden on Xbox Live from this specific profile.

Also, Xbox Live has Friends and Followers, so this profile may still be listed as a Follower but will not be on the friends list when you look into it deeper. When searching up a profile who has added you as friend but that has also been blocked, You+62
may still be displayed because the profile has added you as a friend making them a follower but blocking them will hide your profile from this person.

Just to clarify, when I looked up his friends list, he had 62 other friends on in (my gamertag not included). However, the additional gamertag I couldn’t block was also on the list (this gamertag had the same picture in the background).
