    Unable to avoid "add security information" prompt...


    Merry Christmas everyone,

    when I try to sign in on my 360 I am forced to provide more security Information to my account despite the fact that I already have an alternative mail address added. Now I cant go online on my 360 and I dont want to add another E-mail address or phone number
    to my account. Is there any way to get around this?

    Hey mate, you're much better off doing this through the PC, verifying the proofs through the console seems to never work. Follow the steps here:

    support.xbox.com/.../add-security-contact-information

    If you're still getting prompt about security information after doing the above then delete the profile from the console (profile only), clear the system cache, restart the console and re-download the profile.

    Delete and re-download profile:
    support.xbox.com/.../profile-move-delete

    Clear system cache:
    support.xbox.com/.../clear-system-cache

    Hey there, sounds like you might need to update your security information. Please follow the link and click 'Manage your security info' and sign-in to update and verify some security proofs:

    support.xbox.com/.../add-security-proof

    -

    If you're still receiving the prompt delete the profile from the console (profile only), clear the system cache. Restart the console and re-download your profile.

    Clear system cache:

    Hi there SilverHD1,

    Thanks for keeping us updated with the issue. As mentioned above by XBF Amber, when getting prompted to send the code, there will be an option "I don't have access to any of these." You will be prompted to fill out an Account Recovery Form.

    Once into the account, you may make the changes you need to add another email address or make other

    updates to your security information by adding security information to your Microsoft account    .

    Hi,

    Looking into the error message a bit online it seems the support documentation says to try to
    change your password first and then make sure you don't have the remember password checked. Then try to fill this out again.

    If it doesn't work, have you attempted to add this security information manually online through your web browser by clicking this link

    The more "proofs" you add the better/safer your account will be.
