Unable to authorize payment

I have recently made this new account. Went out to my local K-Mart. Spent money to get some microsoft points. I put in my NBA 2K14 game, and attempt to purchase Virtual Currency (VC) To upgrade my guy. I get a message saying, "We cannot authorize this payment,
Please use a different or new way to pay. If problems continue your financial institution may be the one to talk to." To me that makes absolutely no sense. This happened on my other account as well. And MS Support couldnt do anything. We took hundreds of
steps to figure this out. Im getting pissed off and need help figuring out why this is happening. Ive lost a total of 70$ now. Someone help.

My card has funds, and it allows me to make other purchases.

Its XBOX problem with my paypal.

Did you clear the system cache and marketplace data on the console? sometimes that can cause an issue also I would check the setttings on your paypal account i had mine set to allow one purchase per server when i first set it up.

 

Hi seems to be a common issue at the moment and one which has affected me; I could not buy anything online or on console even though all methods valid and enough funds etc.

It turns out the issue relates to a risk block where by if you buy numerous items in a short time scale or have suddenly bought something after a long break then the system automatically locks your account to prevent fraud.

To remove the lock please contact support as above and explain the issue.

Be aware it took 5 days for a resolution for me but I have been told now up to 20 days so please be patient.

 

I had contacted them about it. They ended up blocking off my account more. I am currently in chat with one.
