Discus and support Unable to add/use payment methods fromPuerto Rico in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Puerto Rico also doesn't appear as a state in the USA anymore.     Puerto Rico also doesn't appear as a state in the USA anymore. I think this started with a recent system update.

    Do you meet the all the requirements to use PayPal (18, Valid Credit Card/Bank Account) and Xbox Live (Matching Data)?

    Try the Payment Method Guide (forums.xbox.com/.../153161.aspx). The "I'm unable to add PayPal to my account" and "I still can’t add my payment method"
    sections should be able to help.

    Unable to use additional payment method

    I'm having a problem, and I just dont think its set up to do this:

    I want to buy Lego LOTR on sale for $11.99 this week. I currently have a balance on my microsoft account of $5.01.

    Logic would say, apply that amount, and use another payment option for the difference, but this is not an option - it should be! Its making me use my card for the full amount with no way to apply the funds you already have in account to the purchase.

    Only us military addresses work as an xbox live region as the US there

    https://account.microsoft.com/billing/payments

    - Try using different browsers and devices.

    - Try adding the payment method by adding the information completely in uppercase or completely in lowercase.

    - Make sure the information matches the information you provided to your bank.

    In case it does not work, you will have to wait 24 to 48 hours without trying to associate, after this time try again.

    https://commerce.microsoft.com and check under the Profile tab. Make sure all the info here is correct (name, address, region, etc.) and that it matches your payment method.
